
Patrick Sven Wrenn - Director
After nearly 10 years working frontline with London Ambulance Service and South-Central Ambulance NHS Trust, Sven made the move to a career in conservation and agriculture, starting as a Park Ranger and Farm Ranger for Hampshire Countryside Services. From there, Sven has gone on to manage farms for Hampshire County Council, abroad in France, and most recently for Suffolk New College whom under Sven’s management became the first FE/HE farm in England to achieve a LEAF Marque. Freelance work has seen Sven organise and run training courses for the Nigerian Oyo State Government on sustainable agriculture and organising learning visits abroad for AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds. Prior to launching the Society for Sustainable Agriculture Sven was a Senior Environmental Farm Advisor, and is also currently a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire for the MSc in Environmental Management for Agriculture.
Sven holds level 3 agricultural management Diplomas from both the UK and France, A BSc in Health Sciences, and a MSc in Environmental Management. Sven is a Professional Member of the Institute of Agricultural Management (PMIAgrM), a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (MIEMA) and a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).

Matt Green - Director
Matt started his career as an environmental consultant based in the North West of England, with a track record in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across both rural and urban environments. This has included operating in environmentally sensitive locations such as the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, as well as on urban inner-city developments around the North West. Matt has also led on research and development, acting as industry liaison with Lancaster Environment Centre at Lancaster University. Recently, Matt has been focused in getting involved with supporting Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) schemes, Helping develop rewilding projects, LEAF Marque Nature and Environment Conservation and recovery plans, and working with landowners to explore the implementation of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and its role in long-term land management planning. Matt is also currently involved as a Project Manager for the Rivers Trust.

In addition to his environmental background, Matt has also served as a Head of School, bringing high-level leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills to his environmental work. His experience in overseeing staff development, budgets, and organisational performance complements his technical knowledge, enabling him to support the Society for Sustainable Agriculture. His commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice underpins his approach to delivering sustainable, innovative solutions in the environmental sector.

Matt holds a BSc (Hons) in Earth Sciences and an MSc in Geological Hazards, and is a fellow of the Geological Society.
